Lt. Col. Brian T. “Snake” Crum, USAF, Retired, of Goodyear, AZ, passed away on June 5, 2023, at the age of 49. Brian began his accomplished military career when he enlisted in the Air Force in July of 1994. He earned numerous awards and completed many special schools during his time in the Air Force. He began training as Special Operations Combat Controller and eventually earned the title of USAF Combat Controller of the year in 1999. In 2002, Brian was commissioned as an officer. He completed pilot training and embarked on a career as an F-16 pilot, later transitioning to become an F-35 pilot. In 2020, Brian retired from the Air Force. He continued his passion by instructing incoming F-35 pilots at Luke Air Force Base.
In his free time, Brian had many hobbies and interests, including listening to and playing music with his children, cooking, watching sports (especially University of Kentucky basketball and football), and watching Marvel movies with his family. He also loved the great outdoors. Brian loved his God, his family, and his country. His memory will continue to live on in our hearts until we are reunited.
Left behind are three remarkable children, each on the cusp of or already stepping into their college years. Their father, Lt. Col. Brian T. “Snake” Crum, USAF, Retired, instilled in them a sense of purpose and determination that now propels them towards their future.
